It was a good day for them to fish in our back yard. See!

When I was living in Alligator Point, Fla., (about an hour east of Apalachicola), bald eagles were a regular sight. The first time *I* saw one, though, I pulled off the side of the road, stared and stared in slack-jawed delight.
I didn’t live there long enough (six months) to ever take seeing them (or any of the other amazing birds of the nearby St. Marks preserve) for granted.

The photos were all taken from my kitchen window.
I don’t think I could ever get tired of seeing eagles outside my window!
