Dogs play a key part in Kate’s family.  Her grandmother trained and exhibited Golden Retrievers, her mother is a part-time dog handler, her father trains gun dogs and her sister is in veterinary school. Kate got Gin when she was 10, and has worked with her since they were both pups.

Although the pair successfully made it to the semi-finals, they were defeated in the final talent show by 14-year-old break dancer George Sampson.
