Hard workin’ dog

“It takes all kinds of dogs to make a world.”
For your Monday morning pleasure – a bit of vintage Sesame Street goodness.
“All I know how to do is take a hundred cows and teach ‘em some manners.”
I love that the dog never says what breed he is. He’s probably a border collie but he could be a long-tailed Australian shepherd or an English shepherd – or a purpose bred mutt. He does, however, make a point of saying that he’s sure he’s not a show dog.

They just don’t make Sesame Street like they used to!
Based on working style, coloring, and size, I think he is an ES or ES “type.”

Man, that is a blast from the past. The fact that the dog doesn’t identify by breed had to be 100% intentional – the SESAME STREET ideal at the time was very much against putting labels on people… or animals… or monsters. A quaint idea, in retrospect, but maybe not such a bad one.

LOL! I love this video, totally brings back memories. Haven’t seen this in maybe 30 some years, but I somehow remember the lyrics.
